Members of the Nuclear Weapons Financing Research Group have briefed Christian leaders on the implications of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, which will come into legal force on Friday 22nd January.
The events, hosted by the Network of Christian Peace Organisations brought together leaders from a range of denominations to hear about the work of the NWFRG and how they can get involved.
Although the UK Government has said it will not sign the Treaty, there are still opportunities for individuals to get involved in campaigning on the funding of nuclear weapons by ensuring that our money is not invested in companies contributing to nuclear weapons.
